Here on movieshyte my goal in reviewing movies isn’t so much to tell you whether or not you should watch them (you should!), but rather just to talk about what I found interesting about them. Since it’s not really possible to have a meaningful discourse about a movie without discussing details, or breaking down specific scenes, etc, there is a BLANKET SPOILER WARNING on all my reviews. I will try to not to reveal the end, especially on newer releases… But no promises! Whatever sticks out is what I’m going to talk about! If you want somebody to tell you whether or not you should watch a particular film, there are 8449802348902480249 people already who will do that for you. If you more interested in “what the heck is with this movie?” this is the site for you. Welcome!
If the selection of movies seems random, it is! I don’t go to movie theaters anymore so each week I watch some number of movies on streaming, and then write about some of them at some point. The order of the articles is the order I wrote them, not the order I watched them or when they were released. If that seems like there’s no rhyme or reason to that, Welcome to Movieshyte. Well, we do have some rhyme. Some of the time.
A quick note on the comment section, or lack thereof. I might change my mind on this later, but as for now, I just want this page to be an outlet for my thoughts, and that’s it. I realize people "*want* comment sections and that’s kind of the purpose of the internet these days, but I’m just not down for it. You’re also not going to find videos or links to bujillions of other pages. Again, if that’s your jam, you are welcome to the rest of the internet. Here, it’s just words. Enjoy them!
